Brain Sadler, originally from Bethesda, MD, graduated from Pocono Mountain High School in Swiftwater, PA, 2001. Brian is currently pursuing a music degree at Arizona State University in composition.
Before starting a college degree, Brian enlisted in the US Navy for five years as a musician. After boot camp at the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL, he continued to the Armed Forces School of Music in Virgina Beach, VA. Normally a six month course, Brian excelled out after only one month of classes. Next stop and first tour of duty: the CINC South Band in Napales, Italy. During his three year tour in Europe, Brian traveled and preformed with the band not only thourghout Italy, but to Germany, England, Spain, Tunisia, Macedonia, Bosnia, Croatia, and Greece. Returning to the US in 2004, Brian's next duty station was with the Navy Band Northwest in Silverdale, WA. After completing two years traveling throughout the northwestern United States, and with his enlistment up, he decides it's time to begin his music degree. Arizona State University, with it's drier climate, and renound music program seemed a good place to start.
Brian has written music for a variety of independant and student films. Such projects include Love: The Movie, Belleau Wood, Sour Ambition, and Run, Leia, Run, which is among the top 150 downloaded films on iFilm. His concert music is also very well recieved. Brian placed 2nd in the 2008 Humboldt State University Brass Chamber Music Workshop Composition Contest, is the winner of the 2008-2009 Dallas Wind Symphony Brass Fanfare Competition, and won the "Excellence in Composition Award" by the 2008 International Brass Music Festival.
From action packed soundtracks to string quartets to woodwind ensembles, Brian writes music for a variety of moods for films, documentaries, and concerts.
